As a part of the project “Strengthening STEM skills through ecology in the Elementary school Zrinskih Nuštar” - EKO-RURAL4STEM, Elementary school Zrinskih Nuštar hosted the Croatian partner, Competence Centre Ltd. for research and development, who has prepared and held a workshop ‘Examples of good practice in forestry with an emphasis on digitization’ for the teachers and the students, in which examples of good practice in forestry with an emphasis on digitization as a result of a previously implemented project ROSEWOOD (Obzor2020) were presented.

Colleagues from our partners Agricultural and Forestry school Vinkovci and Woodworking technical school Vinkovci joined the colleagues from the Competence Centre Ltd. for research and development.

Eighth grade students and teachers got an interesting insight into the journey of a tree from the forest to the final wood product, as well as the importance of modern digital technologies in contemporary forestry and the wood industry. They got acquainted with examples of good practice in forestry in other European countries and became aware of the importance of environmental protection and biodiversity preservation.
