As a part of the project “Strengthening STEM skills through ecology in the Elementary school Zrinskih Nuštar” – EKO-RURAL4STEM, Elementary school Zrinskih Nuštar hosted the Norwegian partner, the Department of Electronic Systems from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
Bojana Gajić, prof. held interesting workshops for us on the topic of programming and energy this week and we gained valuable knowledge that we will pass on to our students in our further work. We got acquainted with the basic principles of algorithmic thinking and block programming, and methods of experiential learning in the field of energy using various didactic materials.
We programmed and controlled bee robots and mini-Lego robots, made mini robot vehicles and balloon-powered vehicles and rockets, programmed traffic lights, and made our own drawing devices and flying saucers, and you can see what it all looked like in the photo gallery.
We are looking forward to continuing the activities with our students who, with the help of new didactic equipment and materials, will have the opportunity to acquire new STEM skills in robotics and energy.
