Over 730.000 EUR approved for improving STEM skills –the implementation of EKO-RURAL4STEM project has started!

Elementary school Zrinskih Nuštar has started with the implementation of “Strengthening STEM skills through ecology in the Elementary school Zrinskih Nuštar” (EKO-RURAL4STEM) project.
Total value of the project is 738.453,84 EUR. The project lasts until April 2024
Partners are Agricultural and Forestry school Vinkovci, Department of Electronic Systems, Norwegian University of Science and Technology and Competence Centre Ltd. for research and development.
The aim of the project is to improve STEM skills of 35 teachers and other educators in order to apply STEM learning approach in regular classes and to develop and implement it in extracurricular activities. The project will include 200 pupils in extracurricular activities on STEM skills, ICT, entrepreneurial learning, and active citizenship. By implementing the STEM approach in their education, the pupils will be more successfully prepared for continuing their education at the secondary school level as well as for future career successes. Four newly established multimedia classrooms will meet the needed preconditions for implementing activities which will strengthen the STEM skills of pupils and educators during and after the implementation of the project.
The project is 100% financed by EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.
